New Wepa Mobile Apps (Android & iOS)

The following support post provides details on Wepa’s new mobile apps on Android and iOS (iPhone), The new mobile app provides enhanced features for convenient login and uploads from cloud providers:

Installing Mobile App

  • Search for ‘wepa print’ in your phone’s Google Play Store or Apple App Store or select the links below:





Mobile App Login

      • After intro screens, select ‘Get Started’.
      • Select ‘Choose your school’ to search your school name and select it to proceed.
  • Depending on the school, there will be two options:

1) If ‘Use School Credentials’ is present, select and enter your school username/password.



2) If a username field appears, enter an email and if it’s already registered, proceed to enter password. If the email is not registered yet, you will be prompted to enter a first/last name and set up a password to register an account:


 

NFC Login at Print Station

    • If your school provides NFC Login at the Wepa Print Station, a Wepa Willy character will be present at the bottom right of the main, print queue view:

    • Select Wepa Willy and tap your phones NFC on the print station face plate that states ‘OPEN WEPA APP – HOLD PHONE HERE TO LOG IN’:

Android

    • You will automatically be logged into the print station with uploaded files ready to print:

  • NOTE: If a view that states ‘Your device doesn’t support remote login.’ appears, then your phone does not have compatible NFC hardware. For example, iPhone 6 has NFC but it is locked down for only Apple Pay:


 

Connect to Cloud Providers

Google Drive | Dropbox | OneDrive | Box | Office366

    • Select ‘+’ blue icon in middle of the main, print queue view:

    • Three options will appear (Camera, Files, Cloud), select ‘Cloud’:

    • Cloud providers that are not connected will be grayed out, while connected providers will appear colorized:

    • Select a gray cloud provider to proceed to the cloud provider login view and enter your cloud provider credentials:

    • Cloud provider will launch with folders and files available for upload:
      NOTE: Supported File Types include pdf, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, jpg, png, bmp, tif, tiff

  • To disconnect from a cloud provider, select the cog setting icon in the top right corner, and select ‘Disconnect’:

 

Upload File via Cloud Provider

NOTE: Supported File Types include pdf, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, jpg, png, bmp, tif, tiff

    • Open a cloud provider as shown in the previous section ‘Connect to Cloud Providers‘.
    • Select a file for the print options view to appear. Print Options will vary depending on the file type. Below are options available:
      1) PDF / WORD / EXCEL (pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx) file types:

Sides: Single-Sided | Double-Sided
Color: Black and White | Color
Orientation: Portrait | Landscape
Range: All Pages | Selected Pages
Copies

      2) POWERPOINT (ppt, pptx) file types:

Sides: Single-Sided | Double-Sided
Color: Black and White | Color
Orientation: Portrait | Landscape
Range: All Pages | Selected Pages
Copies
Print Mode: Slides | Handouts | Note Pages | Outline
View
– Select Handouts to select a number of Slides to
print per page.

      3) IMAGES (jpg, png, bmp, tif, tiff) file types:

Image Print Size: 4×6 | 5×7 | 8×10 | Full Page
Image Print Options: Keep Original Aspect Ratio | Auto Crop to Fit Size | Stretch to Fit Size
Image Rotation: Auto Rotate Image | Keep Image Orientation
Color: Black and White | Color
Copies


    • Select ‘Save Options’ at the bottom to proceed to upload the file.
    • The cloud provider view will appear again to upload more files. However, if you’re done with file selection, simply tap the ‘Home’ icon at the bottom middle to return to the main, print queue view:


    • Uploaded files will appear in order of most recent at the top. Select the cog settings icon next to the file name to edit the print options:
